On November 27, 2019, a seminar on Scientific Research and Technological Development Projects was carried out within the scope of the Forest Fires Prevention and Fighting, financed by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) according to the calls for IC&DT projects carried out in the years 2017 and 2018. This seminar was organized by FCT, ForestWise – Collaborative Laboratory for Integrated Forest & Fire Management and AGIF – Agency for the Integrated Management of Rural Fires, at the Fernão de Magalhães Auditorium of the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), in Algés, Lisbon.
This seminar was attended by Professor Domingos Xavier Viegas, from ADAI, who presented the project FireStorm – Meteorology and Fire Storms behavior. The topic which was introduced this presentation was the Detection and Fire Fighting.
